On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, we had our first delivery of sneakers for the children of the Renacer Temporary Children's Shelter. Accompanied by collaborators and some guests, we spent an afternoon with the little ones. We had the opportunity to tour the home with its staff.
In this first delivery, we gave 27 new pairs of sneakers, with the idea of exchanging them with the children for a drawing in which they would tell us what they were going to do with their new sneakers.
For many of these little ones, it is the first time they have the opportunity to wear something new in their lives.
"It was a beautiful moment; seeing the joy that a new pair of sneakers could bring to these little ones was something I didn't understand. Their excitement when opening their box and unwrapping their sneakers was incredible. Some of the little ones even kept their boxes next to their stuffed animals in their beds."
